Out and About badge what to take when you go out
The 10 Brownies are divided into two teams. Read out the scenario. Each team gets one of its team members dressed up.
Note the object is to get the girls to think about what to take, feel free to add whatever comments you feel appropriate to the combinations the girls will provide.
Use as many or as few as you have time for.
1. It is a hot sunny day, and Brown Owl is taking you over the hills for a picnic.
Take sun hat, shorts and T shirt, water bottle, sun
cream. Possibly a waterproof in the bag. Sensible shoes
to walk in. Brown Owl might have a map. She might take
a whistle to attract attention if you get lost.
Not flip flops, not beach ball.
2. It is a wet autumn day, and you are going out to collect leaves in the park.
Waterproof. Sweatshirt to keep warm. Wellies (not going far) or shoes that keep feet dry.
3. It is a cold snowy day, and Brown Owl is taking you sledging
Waterproof. Warm coat. Warm jumper. Gloves and scarf. Wellies.
4. In the Spring, Brown Owl is taking you out to the woods to look at the bluebells. You might have to walk quite a way.
Warm clothes. Walking shoes not wellies (cos they can rub your feet). Brown Owl might have a map. She might take a whistle to attract attention if you get lost.
