Faurefold Faurefold aerial

Faurefold, a Girlguiding holiday house & campsite, is located in the beautiful Surrey Hills at Westcott, near Dorking, just outside the M25. Faurefold is ideal for either weekend and week long stays or for a day visit and Brownie Revels.  The site is set in 11 acres of its own grounds – all within a fenced boundary.  With an open space in front and to the side of the building, and wooded areas around it, the site is a lovely place to get to know the countryside, follow trail, or build dens.

Accommodation
The building has a large dormitory sleeping 24 in bunk beds, a separate Leaders' bedroom sleeping 4, and YL/Pack Leaders' room sleeping 2. There is a large main room, a separate kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. There is a large veranda to the front and sides of the building, ideal for activities out of the summer sun.

The site is great for a single camp up to about 36 people.  Equipment is available for central and patrol cooking, and both ridge and lightweight tents are available.  There is plenty of wood on the site and a concrete base for the central fire.   There is a single toilet and basin on the outside of the building for camping use.  On site there is space for car and mini bus parking but no access for coaches.

Leaders and girls love it.

On site

There are three orienteering courses set, up of varying difficulty.  Full instructions are in the building.

There is a camp fire circle in the woods.
