Residential training

Surrey East runs annual trainings for Holiday and Camp licences Leaders (residential) and Senior Section (one day).

The next course is at Faurefold (Dorking) on 25 February 2012. You can book online here.

Residential courses cover:-.

  • Overnight - An overnight event involves staying away from home for one night only, this includes sleepovers. Brownie Guides, Guides or Senior Section members may sleep out of doors or in indoor accommodation.
  • Indoor residential - Brownie Guides, Guides or Senior Section members on holiday stay overnight for one or more nights in indoor accommodation, this includes caravans, hostels, narrowboats, youth hostels etc.
  • Outdoor residential - Brownie Guides, Guides and Senior Section members camping for one or more nights in tents.
  • Health & Hygiene
  • Caterer - The caterer is responsible for all catering arrangements including supplying food and catering equipment and all food hygiene.

Courses are held around March each year and usually advertised just before Christmas. You will need to hold a current First Response qualification in order to complete any Residential course.
