Rhythmicity has been operating for 20 years, running workshops in pretty much any setting available: Schools, businesses, Churches, Scout, Brownie and Guide groups (Gilwell, Cubjam, Trefoil, Waddow, LinX2015, Flame, Brumjam, Bigjam, Northampton Cub Camp etc), people with learning disabilities, older people, festivals, processions - even weddings (my own!) and a funeral! I have attached a copy of our Drum Fun for Everyone leaflet showing you a little more about what you can expect from us.
We bring all the equipment to your venue, and everyone has an instrument throughout the workshop. We also like to swap the instruments around so everyone gets chance to play more than one.
Our main aim is always that participants should have fun, and there's always a strong theme of working together.
For camp work we offer our Drum Circle workshop which can be tailored to suit your programme in length. For group visits we have several different workshops, including Drum Circle, to offer:
Sammy the Spider - Geared for Rainbows and Beaver aged children - We have a selection of soft toys and through rhythm, tell the story of Sammy, the Spider who has no friends. The children get to participate, interacting through the journey of discovery as Sammy makes some rather special friends.
Drum Circle - A Drum Circle is always a unique team working experience: the participants improvise their own rhythms; the facilitator works with this to draw out the best. Together, the group provides a level of musical sophistication which always surprises!
African Celebration - Children learn techniques and rhythms to accompany a traditional African song. They will also learn a little about the role of the Master Drummer and how rhythm fits into African culture.
The cost really does depend on the number of participants, and the amount of time that you would like us to be with you. Our normal charging rate is based on £2.50 per child plus a contribution towards our travel costs. We have special day rates for any District Camp / Jamboree work that you might like us to do. Our prices can be negotiable, as we do work on an honesty basis and understand that times are hard and budgets are stretched. So please do feel free to be honest with us about cost.
If you are interested to know more then please do get in touch HERE, also letting us know the numbers of children you envisage attending and we will give you an idea as to the cost implication.
Owls to You do just that, they bring our owls to you so you can meet their feathered friends close up, at your unit or fund raising events. They are not a typical bird of prey centre and do not offer a flying display, but a fun educational event where you can hold the owls, learn about their individual characteristics (and each owl does have their own character), their habitats and their dietary requirements (not for the squeamish).
