From Suffragist to Suffragette Walk

London Walkers and Talkers Trefoil are celebrating Vote 100 with a special one off walk from the newly erected Millicent Fawcett statue in Parliament Square to Emmeline Pankhurst’s final resting place in Brompton Cemetery via some of central London’s most famous parks
When: Saturday 1st September
Where: Parliament Square at Millicent Fawcett’s statue
Walk: 4.5 miles to Brompton Cemetery (approx 2 hrs)
Tube: take the District line from Westminster to West Brompton (7 stops approx 25/30 mins)
Who: Trefoil and Girlguiding members (over 18years)
If you’re interested, there is a statue of Emmeline Pankhurst in Victoria Tower Gardens, beside the Palace of Westminster. Have a quick look before joining us in Parliament Square to start the walk at 13.00.
Brompton Cemetery is a beautiful, gothic Victorian garden cemetery with lots of opportunity to enjoy nature in a tranquil corner of our capital city.
