SUMMARY:County Volunteers Together Celebration and Training Day
DESCRIPTION:All volunteers (include advisers\, leaders\, young leaders\, unit helpers) are invited to this year’s county training day “Volunteers together”.  All attendees will receive an exclusive badge! \nSaturday 26th April 9.00-3.30 at Horley Baptist church \nThis is an opportunity to try various skills builder activities and leave with the confidence to run them with your units. In addition you will think about how to adapt the activities for various situations\, such as non readers\, physical disability\, limited space\, no resources. You travel around the venue trying different programme themed activities and there will be a prize draw at the end.   \nAims \n\nTo bring leaders together\nTo share ideas\nTo give confidence to leaders in adapting unit meeting activities including reasonable adjustments \nTo have some activities with no resources to ‘fall back on’ when plans go wrong \nTo takeaway ideas and items to use in your unit. \n\nFinish the day with a celebratory cream tea with your guiding friends. \nA local volunteer shop will be at the event accepting pre orders of guiding shop items. \nAre you due to be presented with an award such as long service\, young leader or leadership development or going away with?
