Girlguiding volunteers should understand how to create and use risk assessments, so we can be sure our guiding activities are safe and recognise when situations or plans are unsafe.

This webinar will take you through the risk assessment process.

By the end of the session you will have:

Been reminded of Girlguiding’s definitions of what makes a person, place or activity potentially unsafe.
Looked at the Cycle of Risk Assessments
Discussed how risk assessments support the creation of safe spaces and activities
Understand why it’s everyone’s responsibility to challenge unsafe practices
Explored how to use a risk assessment dynamically through realistic scenarios

This is a 1 hour interactive virtual classroom session. If you are under 18 and would like to attend a webinar, we need the consent of your parent/carer first.

This is one of the compulsory courses for those leaders in training who are completing the Leadership Development Programme but is an excellent course for currently leaders who would like to improve their knowledge and understanding of risk assessments with in Girlguiding.
