Girlguiding volunteers from across Leatherhead division with almost 300 years of service were celebrated recently at Fetcham guide hall.

Awards were made to volunteers for their service to guiding from 5 years, right up to a remarkable 60 years!  Ros Allen and Denise Coutts (both 20 years), Roberta Wilson (30 years), Sally Dart and Valerie Tucker (both 50 years) and Anne Collins (60 years) received flowers alongside their long service award badges.

Over the last six decades, Anne Collins has been a unit leader with the Bookham and Effingham guide and brownie units, served as district commissioner and has also held a number of volunteer posts at county level, particularly in training other volunteers.  More recently, Anne has moved to Malta but continues to help with the Ashtead guide units, when she is back in the UK.
