Surrey East’s county day this year had an outdoor theme. Over 40 volunteers across the county came together at Faurefold to enjoy a range of activities including map reading skills, gadget making, firelighting and campfire skills.

Some attended training to run activities with girls on the low ropes course and teams had a go by competing to secure the fastest time.  The winning team was Reigate division.

Particular thanks to Lorna Smith, our county training coordinator who organised the event.

Lorna oversees all the Surrey East county training supported by Laser region trainers and county volunteers.  Lorna’s amazing commitment to Surrey East was recognised at county day where she was presented with the county silver lion award – for excellent service in Surrey East.
