Leatherhead division said farewell to Dax Patel who has relocated to Shropshire.
Dax Patel was Division Commissioner for Leatherhead and leader of 1st Fetcham Brownie and Guide units and will be sorely missed by us all. The division celebrated with a Summer Social and a farewell speech from District Commissioner, Joy Lord. Dax was also delighted to be able to award Sally Dart with her 50 years long service award as Sally has supported Dax in units for many years.
Mary Zoeller, Assistant County Commissioner, attended on behalf of the county and presented Dax with a silver lion to thank her for her service to the County. Thank you to Christine Moss who organised the afternoon, which was a lovely celebration with lots of food and chat!
Farewell Dax and we all wish you well in your new life in Shropshire.
At this event, long service awards were also presented to Roberta Wilson (30 years), Charlotte Norman (10 years) and Katie Garland (5 year). Congratulations to you all and thank you for all you do for guiding in Leatherhead division.
