The search is now on for a new Division Commissioner for Leith Hill after Kate Fowles finished her 5-year term.

Kate took up the role in 2018 and with Jodi Morton as Assistant Division Commissioner, they formed a strong team. Leith Hill Division leaders celebrated with a gathering after their final division meeting in July.

Kate shared a poem thanking Jodi for her incredible support and summarising some of the challenges that they had faced during their time in role:

  • the launch of the new programme
  • recruitment of new leaders and seeing their confidence grow
  • supporting the division through the global pandemic
  • ensuring that Leith Hill is well run.

It was clear from the enthusiasm of everyone there that Leith Hill has become a great team and appreciate all that Kate and Jodi have done.

County commissioner, Beverly Heywood-Jones, surprised Kate by presenting her with a silver lion brooch, to recognise her service in Surrey East and the amazing job that she has done.
